In the final years of her short life, Marie resumed her love of painting and studied with Larry Robinson and others in pursuit of perfecting the artistic talent with which she had been gifted.

We are indebted to Don Landers of Integrity-By-Design for these images exemplifying an assortment of Marie's works, many of which were still "in progress" when she died.

The whimsical "Cat Snake" was one of her first. "Eminence Gris" was inspired by an assignment to paint "something you have dreaded." "English Robin" was something she loved. "The Parrot Man" was perhaps her favorite and it enjoyed public exhibition in the lobby of Alameda's Altarena Playhouse. "Sunset" came last.
